Pose to yourself a dream. A goal.
Then, have faith in your mind, body, and perhaps an external force to reveal the pathways that you must traverse in order to realize your dream.
Follow inclinations.
Don’t let your emotions control you.
Once you see your dream, also note the uncertainty which separates you from your destination.
The waters of ignorance obscure the way to reach that pinnacle, much the same way as one would see the tallest building in a flooded city across the water. The water prevents you from traveling to the building. But then, it begins receding and as it does, more detail emerges about the connecting streets between you and the structure that you wish to reach. Sooner, or sometimes later, the water gets low enough to allow you to step onto a dry path . And, as it further subsides, the path may illuminate before you.
But watch out, and don’t commit to a particular thoroughfare because as you grow more aware of your goal, other paths rise above the waters of ignorance and fear, and may offer a different procedure than you expect. Be open to it.
I can’t imagine that the world of goals and dreams and the various pathways to reach each of them will ever be completely uncovered in the eyes of most individuals. So life is thus a constant stream of discoveries with perhaps infinite paths to happiness. Watch for them. Take them, yet be ready to switch lanes and negotiate new streets that seem to better help you reach your goal.
Be careful though, not to pave too many of your own streets. Though some folks do well at constructing and riding on their own new roads, such initiative is often not necessary and can make the process of achieving the goal too hard. This puts the goal into jeopardy.
If we’re to reach a worthy goal, a journey to it must be chosen that contains some pleasure along the way. Becoming a millionaire is perhaps an admirable goal. But if you decide to do it via a loathsome job, you may in fact be able to become rich. But you’ve traded away lots of missed opportunities for happiness for your financial kudos. So choose a happy quest.
Avoid insisting on a detailed map up front.
