Group Interaction Notes: 1994-03-17

Here are some more notes I took at this week’s Group Interaction meeting. Enjoy.

Ice Breaker
What’s the last thing you think about before you doze off?
• Ten+ things that happened today.
• Kindness toward others.
• Write down the plan for the next day.
• Worry about getting up the next day.
• How nice a vacation would be.
• Resolve question of unconditional love.

How do you give someone who’s romantically interested in you the green light?
• Ask them directly if they’d like to get acquainted.
• Avoid appearing anxious.
• Some like to hide the interest.
• Showing interest too soon can squelch the others interest.
• Sandy broke through paralyzing fear.
• Avoid giving “the third degree.”
• The chemistry exists in both sexes.
• Learn to say no, so you avoid leading on those who find you interesting, but whom you do not.
• When dancing, hold on a little bit longer than the song actually plays. Reluctantly let go, and do it slowly.
• There’s a “window of opportunity” through which you can rightly let them know of your interest. If you miss it, they’ll not be moved by your intrigue.
• Moving slowly minimizes the risk of painful love rejection over a short period of time.
• Romance takes work to keep the fires alive.
