Family Friends Info

Hi   [J].

Just getting ready for bed and thought I’d peck out a few lines to you.

Yes, the twins are identical (from the same egg). And they have always been emotionally close to each other. They shared the same bedroom growing up, went to the same school, and hung out with many of the same friends until their teens. However, they never dated the same people. I think they must have made a secret pact among themselves that forbade one from dating a man that the other had dated. :-) I’ve never confirmed this though. Also, they never speak of any unusual experiences such as being able to read each others’ thoughts or knowing what the other is doing or feeling. But there is definitely a strong bond between them.

Mom met her “younger man” at a dance hall in Altoona. One of her close friends managed to talk her into going out one Friday night about a year after Dad passed. It was apparently, love at first sight (LAFS). They began meeting at the hall every couple nights, and then, a few months later, started going to places together. Finally, a few months after that, he moved in with Mom, and, they seem very happy every time I visit. I get up there about once a month.

Now my sisters are having trouble accepting this. They say Mom moved too fast and that he’s just not right for her because of their diversely different backgrounds. I’m sorry to say that they will probably NEVER accept him. But they do maintain civility around Mom. And Mom is happy. I suppose they will just have to learn to support Mom in her love decision. She’s told them already that she will not kick him out for them. And THAT as they say, is THAT. So the sisters don’t complain to Mom anymore about it. They just gripe to me. :-)

More later . . .
