I believe you. Thanks for following up. You seem to be a lady of great integrity (as well as intelligence) and would probably not resort to lying about something like this. And, in light of what you said, I agree that we indeed differ too much. I’m looking for the company of women similar in intelligence and social station to myself, and do understand that involvement with someone possessing very much greater (or less) intellectual ability is neither healthy, nor fulfilling. Pick a bimbo, and you’re usually slowing down to help them catch up. Pick someone too smart, and you end up forever eating the dust from their boots (forgive the crudeness of this metaphor and terminology, but I’m very tired). Neither extreme is desirable.
One question though. I knew something of your extremely refined and advanced nature, from the moment I read your ad, but nothing of its depth and breadth and implications for “us”. No criticism intended. I just want to know. Why would you keep “under wraps” the true magnitude and vastness of your intellect? Your accomplishments make you a celebrity (a person to be celebrated, or, a celebrated person). Perhaps you don’t want to be celebrated??? Perhaps you concealed it for some of the same reasons I minimized the extent of my poor eyesight – to avoid discouraging a potentially fulfilling romance? Just groping at straws here.
Well, at any rate, I’m glad you “came clean” when you did. Had the illusion continued much longer, … well, no need to get into that. Making your acquaintance has been good. You’ve given me much to think about.
