On the rooms: I don’t mind sharing a room with you. However, if you want separate rooms, no problem. Your discretion. You decide how many rooms to reserve.

No problem. Since we’ll be staying at Mom’s, you’ll need to meet her and [her live-in lover]. But we don’t have to meet anyone else right away, or at all if that’s what you want.

Well, go ahead and fly into State College. There’s more to see there than at the Altoona airport and the drive home would be nicer too. And besides, my sister Mary Ann lives in State College. We could visit her on the way.

Oh, gosh, you mean you’ll have to stay up past 11:00 tonight? Hmmm. Somehow I don’t think you’re going to make it.  But for your daughter? Yes, you’ll make it. *grin*

I’m sure about your visit. Yes, I want you to come. Go ahead and book the trip. However, you might want to check the rates into State College, PA. Mom says it might be cheaper to fly into there than Altoona, and we can meet you at either place. Only thing is, I’m not sure if you can rent a car at the State College airport but am almost certain you can get one at Altoona. Check it out if you like.

Yes, well *clearing throat*, if we DID get together, I suppose I’d have to LEARN to enjoy seeing an attractive woman before 8:00 AM. I’d have to get used to seeing her at 5:30 AM.

Hi Cathy.

Just wondering how you’re doing. I’m reminded of the nice times we had last year, by the camp papers which just came the other day. I have to fill them out and get them mailed back this afternoon. Will probably attend in the mid-July session again this year. Hope you’re ready to do a L-O-N-G hike this time. Perhaps the weather won’t be so hot this year.

I’ve left Philadelphia, and am now living in Altoona, a few miles south of Bland’s Park. After the incident in Philly last fall [the mugging], I was not comfortable living there anymore and so at the end of January, I moved home, only 45 minutes drive from camp. Am looking into building a house here this summer off or Root 220. Pretty excited and exciting also.
