Lynn’s Thing for Chocolate

Friday, May 26th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

Well, I did know already that you had a THING for chocolate. That’s why I said what I did. Just to instigate. :-)

Anyway, I really enjoyed the talk tonight. Having someone to explore the thought processes and ideas with seems to make more solid whatever conclusions are drawn. Thanks for being such a great sounding board. Well, that doesn’t sound as gratuitous as, thanks for listening. There. How’s that?

Anyway, was just redding up the office from all the activity this week and thought I’d hop on here and see what you wrote. Not TOO nasty. The way you described it on the phone, I thought I might find some cussing or something. :-)

Enjoy your weekend. Will probably talk with you at some point during it.

Part Time Living With Lynn

Thursday, May 18th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

Yea, caution I guess. I just didn’t want to make you uncomfortable – especially after the other night, when we were talking about me, staying with you part time. It seems taboo to talk about things that suggest a high level of commitment at this time in our relationship. So, yes, I was just being cautious.

Uh oh. The manager just left me voice mail. he wants me to call him right away to discuss an organizational change to be announced tomorrow. I think I may have a different boss. Or, I may get laid off. :-)

More later.

But What If We Fight?

Thursday, May 18th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

Ha ha. Well, …, well, I won’t touch that one about commitment. :-)

Should you and I fight while I’m up there, it sounds like I will have an ally in Tabbo.

*smile*

Dating Sisters

Monday, May 15th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

Hmmm. Dating two women who are sisters. Not bad. Even if it would be for just one date. :-)

So, ARE you any more of a railfan now than before you visited the curve?

Just Checking In…

Wednesday, May 10th, 2000

Hi Cathy.

You still out there? Have you started working at camp yet? It’s getting around to that time, ‘eh?

Wondering how you’re doing, and looking forward to that long hike this summer. :-)

Don’t know if I told you. But I live in Altoona now. I left Philly at the end of January. It’s very nice here, being so close to camp and all.

Anyway, have to run. Hope you’re doing well. Talk to you later.

I Enjoyed Lynn’s Visit

Sunday, May 7th, 2000

Hey there [Lynn],

Received your card on Friday. You’re welcome, absolutely. Come visit any time and stay as long as you like.

All those things you said about me, are true about you also – absolutely honest, understanding, kind, and generous. And, you harass in person as well as you do on the phone and over email. :-)

It was nice having you here, the drives and walks we took, the discussions we had, the time we shared. And the scarves you wore – nice touch. You’re a great driver and patient. Thanks again, for the visit.

Very warm here today – almost to 80 already. Supposed to hit 83 or so. Sunny but a bit hazy. You’re probably still freezing up there. :-)

Hope the rest of your trip was nice. But when you get home, stay there for a little while to rest up. :-)

Later.

Playing with Lynn’s Hair

Wednesday, May 3rd, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

Yep, I’ve been smiling all evening, particularly since about 8:30.

On the math books: Yes, I’m looking for some to keep in the library here for reference. If you have some you wouldn’t mind selling, yes, they would help a great deal.

On last night: Stuff like that is very difficult to write about. I wanted to write to you also but just couldn’t find the right words. But I believe we got closer to them in our phone talk tonight. Nice.

Meow! You know that night I played with you hair in the middle of the night, I think you started all that when you put your arm around me. I just had to return the affection, you know? Tit for tat. That “morning at 3AM” joke had you going – for a few seconds anyway, did It not? I just figured that you’d fall for it readily, since when you get up normally, it is still quite dark out – pre dawn. :-)

Sleep tight, and will talk to you tomorrow.
