Do We?

Tuesday, June 27th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

We might consider the part-time arrangement more, that we briefly talked of during my visit.

Sorry to make it so difficult. But you’re seeing now what I’m thinking. It’s difficult for me also. :-0

More later.

So, Do We Move Together?

Tuesday, June 27th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

The difficulty in this whole thing is that so so much of what I’ve looked for, is there, IN YOU! Kind of emotional right now, you know?

I talked with Mom last night about all this. She was visibly disappointed but was very understanding. She just encouraged me to think long and hard before deciding where to live. She reminded me again that from a mother’s perspective, Vinalhaven, and you, are everything she’d ever want for her son. But she understood my concerns about independence too.

I feel as though I’m turning my back on “us” without having really experienced and tested the Vinalhaven scene extensively. Would I really be comfortable in Philly, knowing that I’d rejected a relationship that filled up my heart in so many ways, without actually living up there to test it out thoroughly? Would living up there for a “trial period” be a good idea? If it didn’t work out, at least I could go back to Philly, knowing that we tried it fully. Say, six months or so? I don’t know. One nice thing is that my job provides enough money to “experiment” a bit with new places and moving around. At any rate, we need to talk more about this.

Give Tabbo a few soft strokes for me and tell him that everything is going to be alright. :-)

Editing the Truth

Tuesday, June 20th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

Hi.

Yes, editing the truth is just fine. If asked about the origin of our association in the future, let’s just say, “Good question. We’ll tell you about it sometime.” Or something similar. How’s that?

I Miss You Lynn

Monday, June 12th, 2000

Dear   [Lynn],

Hi there.

My bed, though I was very tired last night, didn’t seem very inviting, not without you in it. But, I guess we have to wean ourselves, once again, from that close contact we seem to become so used to during our visits. :-)

Cubby is vocal, just like Annie. Mom’s got her begging for food already at the refrigerator. And she’s quite loud when she wants to eat. In fact, she may meow every 5 to 7 seconds when she’s hungry. And they’re not curt little chirps either. But rather, full-blown, long, doleful MEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWS, each one lasting a couple seconds. And she really opens her mouth too when she does it – big black circle with a red bottom. :-) Haven’t let her upstairs yet. Want to make sure she’s properly house broken. Besides, Mom puts her outside at night, and will probably continue doing that until we buy a litter box.

Gray and rainy here today but we were about 30 degrees warmer than you. How many galons of oil did you burn last night? Oh, and that 4 ‘’ thick cover you have on your bed surely is a tell-tale sign of usual temperatures in that room. :-) Might we call you the Ice Princess? *Got my ice skates on*

Am all caught up on the email. And I have two new production problems to work through. Making headway on them, but it took until about 4:00 to fiie all that email, return calls, and attend the day’s meetings.

Hi Annie. Hi there Tabbo.

Not sure about the waste line yet. I was afraid to get on the scale today, since most of that food is probably still in the system, making me heavier than I really am. :-) Will weigh on Wednesday, once the retained food drops a bit.

*sweetie*

Well, break time is over. So, I’ll say good-bye for now. Catch you later on love.
