Dear Mar

Thursday, October 26th, 2000

Dear   [Mar],

Sounds like another romance is blossoming. Wonderful news!! Hope it works out in the best possible way for all concerned.

On Mom’s dinner: I did remind her two days ago about my arrival at the airport in Martinsburg. But yes, you’d better remind her again. I will talk to her on Friday or Saturday, and I’ll again tell her about it.

Well, enjoy the babysitting. I do not envy you. :)

Meeting Emeebee Tonight

Thursday, October 26th, 2000

Dear [Emeebee],

Confirmed. I will meet you at Amar India at 6:00 PM tonight. I’ll hang around near the door outside if the weather is nice, and just inside the door if it is not. :)

How’d the test go last night?

Tom Hesley

At it Again

Thursday, October 26th, 2000

Dear [CVL],

Awwh [...]. No fun to have such a rough time.

I have something to offer that would almost certainly make you feel better. Have you ever experienced a foot massage, done with warm lotion? I do these often for my lady friends, and have been told that they are quite therapeutic and that I’m very good at it. I’ve done these since childhood. They take between 20 and 30 minutes to perform, and I’d welcome the opportunity to do one for you if you’d like, to see if it helps relax you even for a short time.

See ya at 4:15 in [KB].

Dear Mar

Thursday, October 26th, 2000

Hey there   [Mar].

Sorry I haven’t gotten back to you sooner. I’ve been spending every hour here at work, training these two new contractors. And they’re asking me questions so often, that take so long to answer, that I’ve had to let my email responses slide a bit. Rest assured, my silence was certainly not due to a lack of interest in the happenings in your life. :)

Anyway, I know of Brent, but never was at all close to him. In fact, I haven’t talked to him in, probably 15 years. But Mom used to speak highly of him, and his mom, Cassi, seems very friendly and outgoing. Hopefully, you’ll have a better, more fulfilling time with him.

Unfortunately, I will miss the Halloween party at RJ’s this Saturday night. :( I’ll be getting home this Sunday night at around 6:15. I think Mom is coming to pick me up at the Altoona airport.

John on a rampage? Did he make a public display of anger at you already? Be careful. Maybe it wouldn’t be a good idea for you and Brent to hang out in yours and John’s old stomping grounds, so soon after the breakup. You might want to let things cool off before you resume normal activities at RJs. Hopefully, John is not obsessive.

Take care, and will see you sometime next week, and we may talk in email sooner. :)

CVL Rescheduled Too

Wednesday, October 25th, 2000

Dear   [CVL],

Good deal. Let’s try for tomorrow afternoon. I’ll call you at 2:45. I’m booked for lunch tomorrow. Otherwise, that would have been nice.

Well, I thought I might be mistaken [about the standoffishness I thought I sensed from her.]. Sorry about all the stress you’re under. But maybe some time with an old friend (me) may help you relax, ‘eh? :-)

Tom Hesley

Kristen Cancelled Lunch

Wednesday, October 25th, 2000

Dear [Kristen],

Yes, absolutely, we can reschedule. Sorry to hear about your illness, and I’m sending positive, get-well thoughts your way.

Anyway, I will be in Dayton until Sunday, October 29th. If you feel up to lunch on Friday, I’m free. I also have Friday evening free if you’d care to have dinner and go dancing or something. Or, if the weather is nice on Saturday, we might take a long walk, catch a movie, or whatever you like. Get back to me, when you feel better.

Take care,
Tom Hesley

Lunch with Kristen Today

Wednesday, October 25th, 2000

Good morning [Kristen].

I’ll drop by your cube at noon today. Did you want to eat at KB, or go out somewhere? I wouldn’t mind going to Max and Erma’s, if you wouldn’t mind driving. :-)

Tom Hesley

No Wine

Tuesday, October 24th, 2000

Dear [Emeebee],

Good deal. No wine on Thursday. :)

On the house: You don’t need to take any special measures to make it more orderly. When you used to come to my house, I had a few torn up areas. Don’t worry about it. We’re old friends, and at this point, my impressions of you are pretty well set, and would not be altered by seeing your house during a remodeling project. :) If it is dirty, it is so because you’re making it better, not because you’re lazy. :)

Catch you later,
Tom Hesley
