Summing Up The Lynn Experience
Dear [Emeebee],
Hya.
Great. Questions:
Where did you buy your house, and how long have you lived in it?
What class are you taking?
Are you still going to the Unitarian church in Oakwood?
I’ve been dating a lady from [Rockland], Maine for the past 11 months. [Lynn] loves my foot ad leg massages, and doesn’t mind driving. But she’s definitely too far away. She’s been to Altoona to see me once, and I visited her twice over the summer. We still talk often, but there’s no one-on-one commitment between us these days. I thought for a time that I’d move up there to be with her. However, she lives on a small island, about 16 miles off the coast, and to get to the mainland, you must ride the ferry for 90 minutes each way. Quite inaccessible.
But, it’s a beautiful area though, and there’s a very strong sense of community among the islanders. Nice, but sometimes it got to be a bit too much for me . People just come into the house without knocking, and no one locks their doors. Once, while L was out, as I lay on the couch in my bed clothes watching the Young and the Restless, this strange man walked right in and helped himself to a beer from the refrigerator. And in the same week, a woman came in as well and took me very much by surprise. . Needless to say, I learned not to be modest.
I really enjoyed the Maine experience and will probably visit there again. But, could not live there.
Yes, we must spend some time together. I thought we might go to that Amar India restaurant, then if the weather holds out, visit Cox Arboretum. Then, after that, assuming we’re still getting along
, I’d enjoy having you come and sit with me at the hotel for a while. I’m staying at the Homewood Suites hotel, very close to the Dayton Mall. And of course, we could tweak this to fit in something you’d like to do.
We might want to wait until after your midterm. I’ve been nursing a cold lately, and I’d like to be over it before seeing you. Plus, if we waited, you wouldn’t be worried about the test. Now, I’m free the 26h (evening), the 27th (evening), and all day on the 28th. The plane leaves for Altoona just after lunch on the 29th. Take your pick. Or, if you wouldn’t mind meeting before your exam, all evenings are open so far between the 23rd and 25th.
Well, hope you’re enjoying your weekend. I did try and call your old number a couple times [...] and just got a continuous ring. But as soon as I feel better, I will call you at your new number.
Later,
Tom Hesley
