On the ladies in Philly: Well, I have lots of friends now that I can call when I get lonely and want a bed buddy. But nothing serious yet.
Yes, I was seeing a woman from Maine last year, for about 10 months. But we decided, when I decided to move back to Philly from Altoona, that we could not be together. I chat with her now every few months. No hard feelings. But she doesn’t want to leave Maine, and I don’t want to move there. I did visit Maine twice last summer. It’s a beautiful place. However, she lives on Vinalhaven Island, which is a 90-minute ferry ride from the mainland, about 16 miles off the coast. And it is even less accessible than Dayton. So, we said good-bye. It was difficult to bid her farewell. But, it was definitely for the best, for both of us.
Yes, Altoona is where most of my immediate family lives (three sisters and my Mom). I lived there for 10 months last year but decided that I needed to get back to Philly. I like the big city much better.
Yes, Altoona had Benzel’s Better Bretzils.
