Someone’s Interested
Good morning Lisa.
No, I don’t find your visual problems distressing at all. This might sound weird, but it’s nice to find someone in a similar situation to mine. I bet we could spend hours talking about how we cope without cars and what the social ramifications of confinement to bike and leg transportation are.
Yes, friendship sounds grand. I’m rather unsettled these days on the kind of relationship I’m looking for. Oh, when I was in my 20s, I wanted to get married and have the house in the suburbs with the white picket fence, the two cats in the yard, and the three kids playing out back. But these days, I’m not so attached to that. Not even sure I want to get married at this point. But friendships are very enjoyable. Let’s work on building one and see how it is.
Database? Wow. I work with Oracle 8i right now in my current job, along with Java, JSPs and servlets. I’m a tech lead on a project in which we’re building a test harness web site for some of our company’s infrastructure components, that will verify proper operation of the component under heavy user-simulated load, prior to installing the component into production. Interesting work, but I’ve been working with computers for about 20 years now, and I’m ready to change careers. The plan is to become a freelance writer within the next year. Anyway, feel free to pass along your DB questions. While I would not call myself a DB guru, I could most likely find you the answers you’re after.
Well, have to get to work. Have a great day, and we’ll talk more later on,
