More Info Please

Dear [LizDee],

Yes, life’s been busy and challenging during the past year. I’m starting to feel some momentum with the writing. There’s a long way to go before I can churn out one short story per week. But I’m getting faster at it. Sometimes I get lazy. But the past few weeks have seen a nice increase in motivation to write more.

I truly hope that writing is my final career, the one that gets me to retirement. This is actually my third career. In the early eighties, I worked as an electronics technician, repairing VCRs, movie projectors, PA systems, tape recorders, and such. Did that for about two years then got laid off. Then I decided that computers would earn me more money and so I went to college for four years to get a degree in computer science. In 1988, I got the software engineering job in Ohio and worked at that company until last March. Hopefully, writing will be the most rewarding and enjoyable of these three careers. The third one’s the charm, right? Thanks for your support.

Do you play any instruments? I can imagine you playing a flute or a piccolo.

You certainly have the character of an inspirational speaker with all that positive energy of yours.

By the way, do you still have long hair?

Yes, we do seem to be at similar places in our lives at this point. So nice to have someone to walk with. You know?

I agree about Bob. I’ve listened to his stories and never knew what was truth and what was fable. :-)

I want to stay in touch with you too. The thought of my head on your lap is, well, exciting. I had fantasies about you too. Perhaps one day, well, we can do that for real. I would not say no to it. :-) The backrub would be wonderful.

Thanks for your phone numbers. I have the Verizon Freedom package, which mans unlimited long distance on my home phone. I also have a wireless phone. Here are my numbers:

Home: 814-742-xxxx
Cell: 215-850-3753

Well, gotta run for now. Take care and have a wonderful day.

Later,
Tom Hesley
