Ballerina’s Son
Dear [Ballerina],
Just going over some of your email.
Yes, I’d enjoy meeting your son. Unfortunately, he’s probably right. I’ve been rejected by many women, who said that it was because of my glasses or that I don’t drive. Perhaps he and I could share some war stories, no? But them, we just have to remind him that there are many who don’t care, like yourself. I used to believe that I had no chance with the beautiful women I dreamt of, thinking that the more attractive the woman, the more repugnant she’d find me. And for many that was indeed the case. But sometimes, it’s not. We need to help your son hold on until he’s blessed with someone who likes him just as he is.
I’m off to watch the presidential debates.
Talk to you later,
Tommy
