Chat With Philly Ellen
I had a nice chat with [Philly Ellen] last night for an hour and a half, and we’ll talk again tonight. She has misgivings about driving up here from Philly to see me. Also, she’s shy, although this isn’t a major issue for me. If we meet and I like her, her shyness won’t keep me away.
She opened up a little later on, and we talked at length about why I’ve never married. I said that it’s probably because most women leave when they learn that I don’t see well. They avoid getting involved with someone vision–impaired who wears thick glasses, and walks tentatively behind them rather than confidently in front of them. Besides I said, I’m picky and so won’t settle for just anybody. Indeed, I don’t date women anymore unless they’re among the most attractive ladies on the planet to me. If they’re not a dream girl, forget it! Nor will I wait around for them to become a dream girl. I’m a love-at-first-sighter (LAFS) all the way now, and know that without it, I’m wasting my time.
I told Philly Ellen that I’ve not seen her picture yet, and so can’t predict how I’ll feel once I do. But I said that I like what I’ve heard so far, and that if the chemistry remains for a while, that we might have something nice. So I’ll talk to her for a week or so more and then we’ll exchange pictures. Ideally, I’d like to do the exchanging immediately. However, Philly Ellen seems like the sort of lady that would balk at such an early request. She may think that all I want is her body. So I’ll take things at her pace so as not to offend her.
