[Emmy] and I continue seeing each other frequently, and talking on the phone every day for hours sometimes. She’s probably the best and most enduring friend I’ve ever had. I’m still concerned that I’m not in love with her. But lately, I’ve been thinking that that in-love sort of love isn’t nearly all it’s cracked up to be. Maybe the depth of our friendship will enable me to forget my desire to be in love.
