Thanks much, [Terra].

Yes, lots to do here at present. Just replaced a roof on our shed out back, and we're building a ramp for Mom; she's using a wheelchair these days, and it's not clear when (or if) she'll be able to walk on her own again. This is a steep adjustment for the whole family, and so I really can’t get away right now since I’m providing day-to-day care to her, and am so heavily involved in retrofitting her house so she can get around in it without too much hardship. Hey, she took care of me when I was a child. Now, it’s my turn to return the favor, and I’m honored to give some of what Mom gave to me, back to her.

Just cleaned the gutters at the house here and discovered some leaky, broken ones from the ice last year. I've repaired them but they kept me challenged for a few days this week. Some of them had pulled away from the house and were about to fall down. But they’re quite secure now; I’ve re-fastened them in a stronger fashion than what had been done before. Yep, the money comes in, and then it goes right back out again. :-)

Did a DJ wedding reception gig last night, and I'm back into writing again full tilt. That's going well, and I hope your writing is working for you too. You can check out my diary blog for more details on what I’m up to these days.

I'm not sure when I'll get back to Philly. The foot parties were fun. But I should pursue more local venues since my plan is to live the rest of my days here in Altoona. Given that, it’s crazy to risk falling in love in a place as far away as Philadelphia, when my goal is to stay here. Plus, with Mom’s physical health as unpredictable as it has been, I’ve got to be saving as much as practical so I can purchase her property upon her death. Foot worship must therefore, take a back seat at the moment.

But do stay in touch on this blog now and then, because it's sure nice hearing from you.

Take care.

Hi Tom,

I just wanted to send you my regards. I saw Jack at the last party and he informed me that your mother was ill. I hope that she is doing better and that you are in good spirits. We missed you at the party, but it sounds like you have some pressing matters to take care of at home. Best wishes to you and your family.

Hope to see you soon,
Terra
