Shall I Give Up My Dream? No!

Thursday, May 5th, 1994

• No matter how hopeless this cause may seem, a life with my dream girl I must acquire.
• I know I can find her.
• But I feel helpless and unable to make it happen.
• I have got to take care of this.
• It’s ruining my life.
• But abandoning the hope is not the answer.

Questions on Unconditional Love

Wednesday, March 9th, 1994

Can you be unconditionally loving while assuring that you get what you want? Let’s say I desire to take Lisa to bed. Can I use unconditional love to get her there? No you can’t because any designs taint the pure nature of unconditional love.

Poem: Fondness and Mutual Caring

Tuesday, March 8th, 1994

We had sex,
We had sharing.
But the thing we so did not have
Was the miracle of mutual caring

Absence makes the heart grow fonder,
That’s true.
But is this fondness indeed
The right kind for you?

Is this the best kind
Of binding fondness there is?

Let it Go When You’ve Had Enough

Saturday, March 5th, 1994

I only have so much accountability for a woman’s interest (or lack thereof) in me. If I attempt to talk and she turns away twice, then there’s nothing more to do – at least today.

A Grin for a Glance

Saturday, March 5th, 1994

A grin for a glance
An automatic trade
A habit to be acquired
So easy to form bad eating habits
Yet so hard to get the good habits I want
Like giving a grin when I get a glance

A grin for a glance
A reaction as automatic
As pulling away from a hot stove
A grin for a glance

A grin for a glance
If I talk
But she walks
I must learn
Not to walk
And keep grinning and glancing
